When we were invited by HIGHSNOBIETY to join them at ISPO 520M, we knew it was time to get creative with our mission to reframe nature, so we decided to bring a creative spin to flower arranging.
When we were invited by HIGHSNOBIETY to join them at ISPO 520M, we knew it was time to get creative with our mission to reframe nature, so we decided to bring a creative spin to flower arranging.
We brought our friend, the talented furniture designer Andu Masebo and led a group of the best and brightest minds pushing the limits of the outdoor space to get hands on upcycling vintage shell jackets into bouquets of flowers. True to form, our participants took it off trail, embracing the weird and wonderful. These unusual assortments found their homes in custom made steel vases, designed by Andu exclusively for OPEN AREA (inspired by the late great Enzo Mari).
Whilst our hands were getting busy our brains were too.
Our conversation took us all the way from our connection with the outdoors to the lessons we can learn from nature and how it can inspire us to make our shared spaces better. This is the first step on our journey. OPEN AREA is here to open up your imagination, so expect activity near you soon.
